Great car and van hire at unbeatable prices. The vehicle was very clean and the customer service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and I myself would use them in the future if I ever came back to New Zealand. 👍
The van we rented has seen some better days but over all it was an amazing experience and the van did what we needed it to do. The team in Christchurch were so helpful and it was an awesome experience from the moment we picked up the van to the moment we dropped off the van. Never had any problems and our trip over the South Island of NZ was absolutely breathtaking. We accidentally left our speaker in the van but luckily Chris was able to help very quickly and the whole process went very smoothly (Thanks Chris!!)

Pick up and drop off fast and easy. Staff was really nice both in Christchurch and Auckland. We got a Station Wagen and it was perfect for two people to live/sleep in - plenty of space and we didn’t have any issues with the car. Highly recommended
The campervan was not in the best of shapes, it clearly had see better days and many miles, but it was fully functional and worked like a charm. Special shout out to the staff though, in particular Marcel who was fantastic! Camping & trails app reco, advice, favourite spots… they made the trip way better than planned

Probably the best way to see New Zealand and the camper apps make it easy. 5/5 experience! We explored with the Kuga Campervan, beginning in Christchurch and ending in Auckland. Highlights from the trip include the incredible scenery around Picton, the ferry journey between the islands, views of Mt Taranaki, incredible north island beaches and the glow worms of Waitomo. I think my biggest impression from New Zealand is how diverse the landscapes are. It felt like a combination of Scotland and Bali to me.
We recently took on the South Island of NZ in the Hi5 campervan, and it was nothing short of incredible! The campervan’s versatility made every part of our adventure easy – from cooking meals on the gas stove to making a cup of tea before getting cozy. It had more than enough space for my partner and I, with heaps of storage spots for clothes, food and all of our camera gear. It honestly felt like a tiny home! There was nothing like the freedom to drive from scenic spot to scenic spot and create epic memories along the way. Also shout out to Chris for getting us sorted, you rock. Thank you Travellers Autobarn, we’ll be back!
We rented a Kuga campervan from Travellers Autobarn in Christchurch for 12 days, and it was an outstanding experience. The van was impeccably clean and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedding materials included sleeping bags, three bed sheets, two pillows, a towel, a hot water bag, and an extra blanket, which kept us warm during the chilly autumn nights. The kitchenware was spotless and looked brand new, with all the essential tools such as a pot, pan, cutting board, and more. The fridge was surprisingly spacious, accommodating even a large bottle of soy sauce. Living in the van was easy and hassle-free. For a couple, the van provided ample space, and the bed was wide enough for a restful sleep. We had no issues driving the van, and we opted for full insurance coverage since it was our first time driving a campervan. Thankfully, everything went smoothly. We wholeheartedly recommend renting a Kuga if you’re planning a trip to New Zealand! We truly loved the van, as it felt like our cozy “tiny” home on wheels. The customer service was fantastic. The vehicle was in excellent condition, clean, and well-equipped, making our journey comfortable and enjoyable. Amazing trip with my Chubby van! Perfect for two people. My sister and I took a 2.5 week trip and we absolutely loved it. The views are stunning and it so nice to be able to see it up close and personal right from the van. Thank you Travellers Autobarn!
